NT-FreeBSDNet Implementing Network Infrastructures Based on FreeBSD

Introduction

This five-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to build and manage networks based on FreeBSD-systems.

Audience:

This course is intended for administrators who are responsible for maintaining network infrastructure based on FreeBSD-systems.

Prerequisites:

Before attending this course, students must have completed:

Course NT-FreeBSDAdm Installing, Administering and Maintenance of FreeBSD-systems, or have the equivalent knowledge and skills.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

• Use the knowledge about LAN principle, model OSI, TCP/IP under network design
• Use Linux-system as client: web access and ftp-server, mail program, remote access, network system
• Build and configure network interface
• Configure static routing
• Build and configure firewall based on Linux-systems
• Use program for network analysis
• Build and configure Internet gateway (firewall, Proxy Server, router)
• Install and configure Domain Name System (DNS)
• Configure mail system: routing and managing user mail (SMTP, POP3)
