NT-FreeBSDAdm Installing, Administering and Maintenance of FreeBSD-systems

Introduction

This five-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, troubleshooting of FreeBSD-based networks.

Audience:

This course is intended for beginners and specialists who works with FreeBSD system every day.

Prerequisites:

• Basic knowledge about hardware (computer architecture, principle of processor operation, hard disk)
• Basic knowledge about programming

After completing this course, students will be able to:

• Describe basic functions, main features and components of FreeBSD systems.
  Use Command Line Interface (CLI) to manage file system, file and catalog.
• Use commands, utilities and capability of Command Line to fulfill common tasks such as text editing and printing.
• Control and manage of operating system.
• Use advanced features of Command Line Interface.
• Create and modify CLI scripts - bash и csh.
• Find files in system, using different fitting criterion.
• Install software at system.
• Change configuration of system kernel.
• Run process routinely and on the schedule.
• Configure log books.
• Manage log book systems, send it to the files, direct to users and remote PC.
• Configure rotation and archive log books
